Twenty-odd piccies of stuff that caught our eye as we roamed the show

Eurobike is a bike show in Germany that’s become the biggest and best place to see loads of new – and weird – bike stuff.

Even though we have seen and heard about a lot of 2017 stuff already there’s always plenty more titbits revealed at Eurobike. Some surprises from the big brands and loads of crazy kooky stuff from smaller outfits.

Here are 21 things that sum up our Eurobike-ing so far. We’ll have more for you soon.

Maxxis skinwalls

Skinwall – or amberwall – tyres made something of a fleeting appearance last year on some special short-run models but 2017 looks like it might be the year where we’ll actually see them available in actual bike shops in the real world…

Olympic winning bike

Scott had both Jenny Rissveds’ and Nine Schurter’s gold medal winning bikes on display. They both rode Scott Sparks with custom Rio 2016 paintjobs. This is Nino’s bike…

They could have done a better job with the number board though – or is it wind tunnel optimised..?

Sunn Kern LT

The Sunn is still shining. 160mm travel Kern LT from the brand that has been ridden to more rainbow jerseys than any other*.

2017 Rocky Mountain Slayer

It was only a matter of time before Rocky Mountain got around to refreshing another legendary model from their past. The new Slayer looks hot and continues the Slayer’s tradition of being a yellow peril…

Brendog’s Rampage bike

Brendan ‘Brendog’ Fairclough’s custom huck machine for the imminent Red Bull Rampage

Eight Pin dropper

Eight Pin’s integrated dropper post uses your frame as the outer sleeve and can deliver up to 220mm of drop..!

Canyon Disconnect concept

This is very cool. Bar mounted remote lets you ‘disconnect’ drivetrain from suspension for unimpeded performance without pedal kickback. Read the full story here. Like riding chainless at the push of a button…

Burly Orange 29er

Strange goings on Orange Bikes. This is a prototype 150mm travel 29er (the fork is 160mm). Sorta like a 29er version of their new Alpine 6

Hope HB211 enduro bike

The HB211 has been racking up the miles in Whistler and is looking seriously sexy…

Devinci Marshall Plus/29er

Five Ten Freerider Pro

Five Ten has got a clean look for the new Freerider Pro. Maybe these won’t hold on to water and take quite as long to dry out…

Peaty’s cow bike
