DIY Rampage and yep, it's those kids again

The GoPro Awards were announced at the end of last year. Now the finalists have been revealed. There’s a couple of mountain bike vids in there.

The video at the top of this page is one of shortlisted vids: ‘Mountain Bike Down Rampage Ridgeline’ submitted by Ethan Nell. Check out these telling words spoken in the video…

“What are we doing here, Deej?” Nell asks.
“We’re about to launch this dirt nasty big hip,” his friend replies.
“Drop it!”

Better you than us Ethan!

The other bike vid (below) is ‘Bike Park Jumps With 6-Year-Old Twins’ featuring twins Jake and Theo Riddle. You may remember we featured this great little vid in our ‘Can your kids ride like this yet?‘ feature from earlier this year…

How the GoPro Awards work

GoPro are giving out up to $5million annually to “GoPro content creators”. This ranges from $500 for stills up to $5000 for a proper video edit.

  1. “Capture your passions whatever they may be. Whether it’s chasing your kids around the playground, getting blasted in a snowball fight, or diving off a cliff – GoPro wants to see it.”
  2. Submit your most interesting moments to GoPro.
  3. Get rewarded, maybe.

There are 69 shortlisted finalists in total. You can spend/waste a whole day watching them. Some of them are absolutely amazing.

Unfortunately we don’t expect either of these two bike videos to win but it’s still great to see mountain biking represented.
