Epic Cymru will take place August 15-19 and organiser Matthew Page says the race will visit Bike Park Wales, Afan Forest Park, Rheola Forest and Margam Park, connected by pedal power, barring one bus transfer. (Check out our guide to Bike Park Wales.)

There are 18 timed sections planned with separate cross country and downhill sections over the five days, with around 45-75km riding a day. Matthew says the idea is to concentrate on the riding, with the event tailored for real riders rather than the pros. That said, there are rumours of some big American names from the enduro race scene on their way over.

The enduro will visit Bike Park Wales, the only time a race will hit the venue all year, excepting the BDS
