The Tweed Valley in Scotland will see another new enduro race next year, on previously unraced trails and adding to the venue’s already crammed calendar of mountain biking.

Latest on the list is Vallelujah (valley and hallelujah, clever huh?), set for spring 2015. It takes the tally of big enduro races in the Valley to three, with the Enduro World Series in May and TweedLove’s King & Queen of the Hill race in August.

“It’s going to be in a completely different location in the valley, but then we’re lucky, we have a decent choice of trails around the valley,” said organiser Neil Dalgleish. “It’ll be a mix of stuff, with trails all about flow but with some technically challenging sections too.”

The enduro takes place in the Yair Forest, further down the valley from Peebles and Innerleithen. It won’t be as demanding as the elite EWS race, instead you can expect the same standard as the King of the Hill racing. “It’s going to have a different feel though, more spring friendly, with some old and new and secrets,” Neil tells us.

There are four stages of racing on Sunday, March 29, with Saturday set aside for practice. The 450 entries go live on Friday at 7am at www.tweedlove.com.
