The Gore Windstopper overshoes are the most ergonomically cut on test and come with idiot-proof right and left markings. Stitching is also the best on test and the Kevlar-reinforced nylon sole is ultra-tough. The quilted liner looks like it’s been styled on a Barbour jacket and it’s no surprise that sizing and fit are excellent. And they need to be, as the Windstopper membrane in the overshoes is nothing like as stretchy as Neoprene. So while the Gore overshoes fitted our performance shoes like a glove, there is no way that we could get them on over a bulky trail shoe.
If you want a lightweight option to keep your feet warm and aren’t too fussed about them getting wet, then these are first rate.
