Weight: 240g/Sizes: 27.2, 30.9, 31.6mm/Length: 350mm
At half a pound the Outland is the heaviest post on test but it’s also the cheapest. The head is slightly sleeker than the one on the FSA but still suffers from the same pre-set indent adjustment, which is annoying if you fall between two positions. The anodising has already started to come off the clamps and head on our sample, which doesn’t bode well for long-term durability.
We’d like to see a longer 400mm length because adding 50mm of carbon would only add 15g to this post.
Also available in an in-line version for the same money, the Outland is killer value but there are lighter aluminium posts on the market.
