Bell’s Slant is a great example of how to construct a helmet with fantastic ventilation. The deep front-to-back channels force air from front vents across the top of the head, right out of the exhaust ports at the rear. Uninterrupted airflow removes the heat that builds up, and the Slant is better vented than many much more expensive lids.
A one-handed retention system with a simple push button/slide dial operation makes for a very stable fit, unable to be knocked out of adjustment in a bag. The whole system feels very good quality in comparison to almost every other helmet on test. Side anchors maintain the Ergo Dials’ stability, and the soft, strap webbing is routed through the device, further improving fit
by keeping the straps close to the head. Topping it off are strap anchors that did not move once.
