Remember that mental urban downhill race from Mexico we all watched last year? The one with steep steps, sketchy jumps and dogs running out on riders? Well it’s back, the Taxco Urban Downhill 2014 is on this weekend, watch the teaser here

To get you in the mood here’s a POV video from Kelly McGarry at last year’s race.

We’ve got it on good authority that Bernard Kerr and Brendan Fairclough are heading out to race the event this year, so here’s a little video of Brendog practicing the course in 2012.

The course looks cool, we love the way the race follows a proper downhill track at the top, on dirt, before plunging between the houses and narrow urban passageways. Organisers say it’ll go onto rooftops and houses this year too, which sounds interesting.

There’s an official trailer for the event, just to get you in the spirit of the race.

Geoff Gulevich, Brett Rheeder, Tom Van Steenbergen, Filip Polc are confirmed on the starting lineup.
