Fill yer boots! Goretex boots that is.

We hate to be the bearer of unwelcome wintery vibes but now is a great time to hunt down some autumn-winter bargains whilst they’re off-season.

Make hay while the sun shines and all that. Actually, the sun hasn’t been very shiny anyway has it of late? Hey-ho.

All of our three main picks are half price so this makes this week’s Dirty Deals very probably the most bargainacious bundle we’ve put together thus far.

Fill yer (Goretex) boots!

Endura Equipe Exo Softshell Waterproof Jacket – £199.99 – £99.99

xx59216

A great fabric combined with a great bike clothing brand.

Softshell jackets are becoming more and more the preferred choice of mountain bikers who have become a bit fed up with buying expensive shell-type jackets only for them to stop working after a year or so on the bike as the coatings and fabric weave breaks down

Softshells don’t suffer from such wearing-out issue. Okay, so they aren’t as all-out waterproof as a top-end shell jacket but they do stay warm once wetted-out. And they dry out amazingly quick when (if!) the rain pauses for a bit.

You can pick up Endura’s cutting-edge softshell jacket for a half-price fee of £99.99!

Altura Attack waterproof trousers – £109.99 – £55.00

When the proper wet weather season hits us, chances are you’ll do the wise thing and hide away in one of the many forestry trail centres out there. Trail centres are all well and good (great in fact) but there’s no hiding from the fact that they’re puddle factories.

These full length waterproof kecks from Altura are your best line of defence against such constant spray and splash.

You may not wear them on every ride in winter – they can get hot and they’re hard to wear kneepads with etc – but once you’ve owned a pair of full length waterproof trousers you’ll be surprised how often you do drag them out from the kit box. Biking, hiking, camping – oh so versatile!

You can grab yerself a pair of Altura’s fanciest anti-splash trollies for half price at £55.00!

Shimano MW7 Gore-Tex SPD Shoes – £159.99 – £79.16

Shimano’s waterproof mountain bike shoes lurk in almost every UK biker’s shoe collection somewhere. Despite many a new pretender, there’s still no one who makes a UK-friendly boot like Shimano.

With the MW7 version, Shimano have used a proper Gore-Tex lining in the upper. This is obviously a great thing to stop splash and spray getting in via the uppers. But actually it’s the lace cover flap and the cuff-collar that are the best bits of Shimano’s winter boots. Proper dead good like.

Shimano’s MW boots has lost weight over the years and now they’re available with a lighter price tag at £79.16!
