Nino Schurter is known as one of the most skillful riders on the cross country World Cup circuit. In most of the races victories this year he has found the most time on the descents and it seems he can’t take flight without pulling one of his signature whips.

On the latest video of his web series The Hunt For Glory, Nino shows off one of the Nino Bike Days coaching sessions he does for his fans during the off-season. The lucky participants are treated to a morning learning essential skills and a ride with the World Champion in the afternoon.

Nino emphasises the importance of “looking forward and reading the trail right” as well as understanding how your bike will react to different surfaces. These skills will teach you where you can corner, where you can push and where you may have to back off a bit to be quicker overall.

In the afternoon, Nino took the riders on a tour of his local bike park, Films Laax, which looks to offer a good mix of man made and natural trails.

Schurter enjoyed one of his best ever seasons in 2015 finishing as World Cup overall winner and World Champion. He will be look ing to go one better next year and claim an Olympic Gold medal in Rio. The first cross country World Cup of 2016 will be at Nove Mesto on July 3.
