With the Val di Sole World Cup just one day away the riders are furiously trying to learn the best lines before they take to the start gate on Saturday.

Here you can see Greg Minnaar getting dialled in with his signature smooth style. He certainly puts Claudio’s wild efforts from yesterday to shame, although it has to be said that the course has dried out significantly since then.

Greg Minnaar will be keen to do well here this weekend as he currently sits second in the overall rankings. His chances of  winning the overall are dependant on the performance of the imperious Aaron Gwin, but he can drastically improve the odds with a good result.

The weekend itself has not been without controversy. There have been a number of new additions to the course this year including some wooden berms. These have become covered in mud and have started to claim a number of casualties, most notably Steve Peat, who had to have stitches on a nasty gash in his leg.

The race will be streamed live on Red Bull TV at 13:00 UK time and it’s sure to be a cracker.
