Bicyclemania Challenge 5 ‘reverse’

What the organisers say: On the ride you will encounter steep grassy climbs, steep downhill’s on both grass and chalk twin tracks, country tarmac lanes, bridleways, byways and the odd main road crossings. Be prepared this is no tea party trail put together by Chiefy from Bicyclemania. The full circular route is about 63km / 40miles that’s a fair way over the rolling Lincs Wolds. With the culmination of speed and constant short sharp ‘Wolds’ it will take it out of you and if you’ve gone off to fast & furious . . ‘You will suffer & pay the pain price . . !

Moelfre Dig and Ride Weekend

What is it: Head along on Saturday and help out with a bit of digging and your uplift will be free of charge (usually £20), organisers say.

3G Affric Challenge

What is it: Annual race covering 28 miles of singletrack and fireroad. Prizes on offer for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category, plus free t-shirt for all entrants. Adults £25 Under 18’s £15 Teams of 4 £85 Family of 4 £60.

Snowdonia Enduro

What is it: A new Mountain Bike enduro event in North Wales from the organisers of the Snowdonia Bike Fest. Different course lengths dependent on laps include 8km, 24km and 28km.

West Cork Bike Fest

What is it: The first West Cork Bike Festival includes races to watch and ride, plus food and camping. Events for all riders, organisers promise.

UK Bike Park Uplift
When: Sunday August 30
Location: UK Bike Park, Okeford Hill, Dorset

What the organisers say: We have a special uplift this weekend, we’re giving you an extra hour of uplifting for free (the uplift will stop at 5.30pm rather than 4.30pm) plus there’ll be a BRAND NEW track to ride called ‘Tsubo’ – this will be the race track for the final round of our winter series DH on September 27. Uplift is £25 for the day.
