what is youre oppinion for trail biking, baggy clothes or tight clothes? i have a pair of tights and as they are comfortable, practical and warm as they are fleece lined do they look cool or are they a bit dated now?

Its up to you really Jez, I wear a pair of Helly Hanson Base layer tights underneath my Baggy shorts in the winter, In the summer I find that tights are too hot, also I find that the tight tops get too warm as well (although they do wick the sweat that they cause away quicker) so I wear a 3/4 arm FOX top if its hot it also has a piece of soft material on the inside at the bottom to wipe your shades on if they get sweaty! I still have a couple of tight tops but only wear them if its raining underneath my jacket as they are close fitting and wick the moisture better to the jacket!
I Personally think Baggy look better to (to answer your original Q:)

ohhh sorry just read the title
suppose if you go real baggy it will act as an air-brake down the hills

as i said, i usually wear a pair of endura tights cos i live by the coast and its always windy here so they do cut down a bit the wind factor, plus ive tried wearing baggy bottoms and find they just get oil stains on the bottom of them

Baggy clothes for me all year round. if i was to get tights or trousers i would go with tights with a baggy short over the top. Trousers arent meant to be much good because they get caught in you chain etc

personal preference. for me it's baggies for pretty much all of the time. tights under baggies in the winter or lycra under waterproof trousers (with decent Velcro leg adjusters). lycra for long distance enduros or marathons.
baggies only for cover of MBR though...

Tights for me....was into baggies but swapped. Now much more comfortable and warmer.
But it's personal choice I suppose...see what you find more comfortable.

Got to be baggy for me. I need somewhere to put all my bits, phone, camera, money etc. I would put a pair of tights under in the winter like.

i know this post is old now but baggy anyday - im a dirt jumper and when i come off my bike baggy clothes (jeans,t-shirts)ect give me much more protection - but its a personal choice for you on what you wear.
