Like the Bell, the rear of the helmet is bottom wrapped, but it’s bare at the front. The Safe-T X retention system is new on this helmet and while it features a builder’s helmet strap system, the double buckle is secure and offers a wide range of adjustment. We found the device sat quite high on the back of our head and tends to pull the helmet upwards on our medium sample, so we switched to a large. The fit was better but we couldn’t access the retention device with the helmet on.
Well vented and with an excellent strap system, the Kaos is more XC. It’s also a bit expensive for a helmet with a fixed visor and has an awkward retention system.
