If the number of riders using a Remedy is anything to go by, it’s a very popular helmet. Giro also offers a carbon option which is 122g lighter and £50 more expensive than the basic composite helmet featured here. Overall, the Remedy feels solid and well vented but the fit isn’t quite as good as the Fox Rampage. This is partly due to thick cheek padding, which gives you the chipmunk look and makes you to chew your cheeks until the pads compact with use. You can now buy thinner cheek pads for £9.99 a pair.
