Roo pilots the Norco Shinobi 29er to fourth place overall

Round two of the X Fusion Enduro 1 all-mountain race series took place last weekend (June 17th), thankfully taking advantage of a break in the rain and enjoying some glorious weather and (mostly) dry trails. The format was similar to the first round at the Forest of Dean with a loop of around 25km that featured eight special stages, six of which were timed runs, the other two being skill tests in which failure incurred time penalties. The stages were a mix of open pedally double-track, tight downhill singletrack, tricky technical climbs and a bombhole clearly inspired by Junior Kickstart. It was another fun day out with enough variety in the trails used to entertain beginner and expert riders alike. Team MBR wobbled round to grab sixth place in the Teams comp (which was won once again by Fetish Bike Company) but our snapper Roo earned a reprieve by taking fourth overall. Round one winner, Charlie Williams (Fetish Bike Company), took third, while Ryan Bevis (Ram Bikes) and Rob Francis tied for the win. For a full report check out the Enduro 1 website and don’t forget that round 3 is in on September 30th at Caesers Camp near Aldershot, Hants. We’re looking forward to it already.
