    Big or Small?

    at the end of this year i will be getting a new ride (hopefully) my current rides are a 120mm travel hardtail, 3x8 speed and a DMR SS Reptoid Jump bike 100mm travel my ideas are either a 150/160mm travel On-One 456/Summer Season with 1x9 and hard wearing parts, or a 100mm XC whippet carbon with 3 or 2x9 gearing and lgihtweight parts i am soo confused, any ideas??? thanks

    Yup, tough choices.
    Have a look at what you have and what sort of uses it will cover you for.
    Then look at what stuff you want to ride and currently ride.

    This should help you work out what it is that you need/want most.

    Do you want to continue to do similar stuff to what you do now, but harder, faster and further? Or do you want to do something different that you would struggle with on your curent bikes?

    In other words, do you want to extend the size of your existing comfort zone or move to another one entirely?

    Decide that first.
    If you can't learn to do something well, learn to enjoy doing it poorly.

    hmm saw this and thought possibly, 400 for a frame? the other thought was to beef up my xc bike, with a new frame and forks?? lol so many options

    i could just do with a carbon frame and forks for my road use mtn bike

    They did have an offer on for a 456 Carbon frame, RS Revelation RLT 150mm forks, and a wheelset for 900.
