SLX rear mech

Just looking at the rear mech on my bike and there doesn't appear to be a fine adjusting screw as the cable goes into the mech.
Is this normal or is it adjusted another way? Shimano SLX type.

Limit screws? or the cable tensioner on the cable?

try looking for a cable tensioner at the shifters, if thats what your after?

Limit screws will be on there somewhere I would imagine...

Seen the limit screw. it's the fine adjustment i was after normally on the end of the cable going into the mech.
I'll check the shifter.

i have just had a look at vj's pic of his rear xtr mech and i cant see a fine adjuster there either, perhaps shimano have dumped it.

I have SRAM X9 mech and X7 shifters..... so not really the same!

But the fine adjuster is on the shifter end of the cable, seem to remember alot of my bikes being set up like this in the past! however its only recently that i've realised what that actually does!

yeh, i think shimano have got ride of adjusters on the mech, just use the shifter one instead.

For some strange reason it hadn't occured to me that it would be at the lever end.Numpty!!

Shimano binned the adjuster on the mech when they went for the shadow evolution with better cable routing. Saving weight or money, you decide

Now it looks like the lack of adjuster is washing down through the non shadow mechs as well.
