    Can you ID this stolen bike

    Hi,

    I am a PC in West London. I am investigating a suspect for handling a number of stolen quality bikes. I have identified the true owners of a number of the bikes. However there is one particular bike that I need some more information on. The bike appears to be a 18-19" Ti frame, XT kit with Manitou/Axle Platinum forks. Its dropouts are unique. I was thinking it might be a Charge but it has no frame numbers/markings whatsoever. Please take a look at the Pics and get back to me if you can ID the make/model/year.

    Thanks

    Oh, forgot to say;

    Not sure about the year, probably early-ish, no doubt Cotic might be able to shed some light on that as the rear caliper mount has definitely changed, there won't be many of these around so I hope you can reunite it with it's owner, and whilst your at it, throw away the key for the scrote that nicked it.

    (I know you can't comment on that last point )

    If you find the owner, give him a slap for fitting Manitou Axels to such a fine frame.

    Wouldn't CY have a serial No. for all of his bikes stamped into the frame?
    It's got me thinking it's a custom build by the likes of Setavento, but the customer has specified Cotic style cowled dropouts.
    The fact they've fitted such cheap forks to a Ti bike seems to bear out the "lifetime frame but on a budget" style of the owner. Chemical analysis will probably show it to be 3Al 2.5v, and not 6Al 4v Ti found in the more expensive frames.Which would have serial No.s, and not be made from radioactve Russian submarine castoffs.

    There can't be many of them about, it's an odd looking thing.
