Cheers guys............I have actually done what Xendi did a while back and separated the shoulder joint.............not dislocated it though...........thank goodness but it is the pain that is driving me mad (2 and a half weeks later)............
Apart from mine and Xendi's daughter I am the most accident prone person I know...................

Anything XTR! XTR is over three times the price of XT and several times more than Deore, why bother spending ££'s on something that can brake or rip off on the first turn??

I get the sentiment Patriot, but the point of XTR is to be the best of the best, in that respect the price is almost irrelevant, it's more to make the best shifting possible, similar to XX wjich inidentally costs about twice as much as XTR, XT is the counter part that is cheaper, with most of the feayures bur not the pricetag!
Welcome also! Sorry about the mistakes, typing from an iPod!![]()

Gps systems - buy a smart phone people - its 2012 !
Use free Apps, I use endomondo, others ( soulless racers and unrestrained braggarts ) use Strava, but the point is they're FREE and you're carrying the phone anyway.
Most expensive thing?
Has to be the pursuit of weightlessness.
To read most mags a non- rider could be forgiven for thinking most MTB'ers are attempting to break out of the Gravity well, such is the obsession with shaving grammes off kit here and there.
Most of use don't recognise that the heaviest part of the system is the rider.
I'm 93 Kg - that's about 14 stone 5 lbs.
Where's the sense in spending 7k on a bike that's made of spider silk compared to a 1.5k version that's ( GASP !) nearly 5k heavier...
Get a bloody grip People ;-D
