    Fox suspension questions

Settling onto the new Canyon now but got a couple of questions about the Fox forks and shocks as I've not had a bike with either before.

On the forks - 32 TALAS 140 FIT RL , when I adjust the travel on the LH leg, it only seems to move by about 10mm, not the 30mm it should be.
And on the rear shock - Float RP2 Boost Valve, the lever for the pro pedal doesn't feel very positive when putting it into the on position (as in, its a bit floppy) but does seem ok in the off position.

Anyone else got either of these and is this normal or do I have a problem?

    Hi Rich,

Not sure if this helps but, on my new build (not yet ridden, it's not complete yet, it's the Mojo HD140) I have the Fox Float RP23 with Adaptive Boost Valve and the fork is Fox Talas 32 tapered.

I've not tried adjusting the fork but I just went and tried the lever on the shock and mine seems solid and stable on or off, it's ok. Mind you it is brand spanking new and has not been used yet. The bike is still on the stand waiting for parts.

Are you pressing down on the fork when you have adjusted the travel? On my 180's I can turn the lever and it only really sets to 140 when downward pressure is applied. Then when I turn it back to 180 it just pops stright up.

Yeah, it pops up, but not as much as it should i don't think.

And just back from my LBS where I tried the lever on a couple of different models. They were both the same as mine so I guess what I think is floppy isn't really.
