I got the V12 non painted one's.. as i know ill wear the paint off so why not get the metal ones istead.. they look awesome on my Whyte 901 in my opinion
Yeah, the internet definitely isn't full of stories of crank brothers pedals falling apart in minutes...Crank Bros Candies are light and suitable for XC stuff, and you'll have no problems with grip and shredded shins... they are of course SPuDs and they are really a well made pedal!

Not had any problems with mine.... I have even recently bought a new pair on offer (in RED of course!) to replace the squeaky XTs I can't seem to get along with.

Not tried the superstar nanos, but I've had V12s for a while and get on with them fine, although I have just spotted one has a slightly bent axle!And that's CroMo which would put me off fitting a weaker Ti one to any pedal. (and I wouldn't describe myself as solidly built either!)
Had the cheaper V8s on for few years too but the bearings needed regular regreasing on those.
I have to dis agree with you there fella.
