    Nothing wrong with pretty colours. All part of being a bike tart.

    Welcome to the forum, the chaps seem to have covered the choices very well. You might want to have a look at the older models of the Specialised Rockhopper. Top bike for the buck and you'll probably get a good deal on them if you shop around.

    Our new bikes

    Well after a fair bit of t'internet search we popped into the Samways of Derby today and we walked out with the following;

    Yes rockhopper is for me. Its a world apart from what i've been riding on recently.

    and Mrs b will love the Trek. both great bikes and you will be hooked.

    I love the way you said 1200 and then went and then went and spent 1339.99, 139.99 over budget

    Ahh yes but bit of a deal was done Sarahs was 600 and mine was 635 so not a million miles away.

    Could be tricky that we live on a narrowboat so going to be awkward to get that photo due to space constraints.
