The Surrey Hills have become a breeding ground for some of the UK’s hottest talent. In recent years, Brendan Fairclough, Sam Reynolds and Olly Wilkins have all shown that, despite the lack of altitude, these hills can still provide World Class riding in many different disciplines.

It seems that Tahnee Seagrave wanted a slice of that action too so she headed from her home near Morzine to Peaslake for some wintry singletrack shredding. We certainly agree that Peaslake is an amazing place to ride as it featured as one of our 20 best trails in the UK.

Tahnee Seagrave is a World Cup racer with the FMD (Follow my Dream) downhill team. She won the Junior World Championships in 2013 and has made an immediate impact since she transitioned to the senior ranks. This year she finished third in the World Cup overall standings with five podium finishes, she also finished fifth in the World Championships.

She will be hoping to improve on this as she heads into her third season as an Elite racer next year. The season starts in Lourdes in April and she will have to continue to enjoy her winter riding if she wants to catch up to Rachel Atherton, who was dominant last season.
