The controversial Cyclepassion calendar will no longer feature the “sexy” poses of previous years.

Cyclepassion is an annual calendar that features professional female riders posing with the bikes they race in a sexual fashion. In previous years Manon Carpenter, Myriam Nicole and Tahnee Seagrave have all featured in the calendar.

The calendar has always attracted controversy and it seems that it has finally bowed to the pressure as the theme for this year’s calendar will be “Inspired by Future”. The new theme will see female models posing with concept bikes from Audi, Canyon, Cannondale and more.

Cyclepassion says: “It is hard work to keep up a high level for this kind of photography. Sexy without looking cheap. Innovative and not like all other girls calendar. We managed to do our best and we always got the feedback that we do a great job.

“Times are changing, so we stroke a new path and strengthened the art part of our work. We kept our tradition to make photos of bike and girls. But the arrangement is different and dedicated to art. The outcome is new and stunning.”

You can buy a copy of the 2016 Cyclepassion calendar for 39 Euros or older editions for 25 Euros. For more information click here.

What do you think? Was the previous concept outdated or just a bit of harmless fun?
