Portavadie is a new sailing venue first and foremost, but its location on Loch Fyne means its close to the little-known Fire Tower Trail. Mostly red grade, the trail is 19km long with black-grade options, including boardwalk, jumps and singletrack descents.
The newly-opened marina is built on the site of a former 1970s oil-rig construction yard which never opened, and boasts the usual yachty stuff, plus restaurants, cottages and apartments for mtbers.
