The Fire Service Cycling MTB series starts on April 24 in Bretton, West Yorkshire and is followed by a further six races across the country. The races form part of an overall league and are organised by different Fire & Rescue Services throughout the country. At the end of the league trophies are given to the top three riders in each category.

The events are run under the FSSAA (Fire Service Sports and Athletic Association) banner, who also provide the insurance. As the insurance is provided by the FSSAA the events are only open to fire and rescue services that are affiliated to the FSSAA.
The next event is being held at Hamsterley Forest, Co. Durham on May 14th. The organisers guarantee that the course is an absolute cracker, so make sure to get along and ride.

All further dates and event details can be found on www.fireservicecycling.co.uk

If you’re not in the Fire and Rescue Services but still want to ride, guest riders can race but ONLY by approval of the event organiser and at their own risk. Get on the website and approach the individual organisers.
