Sam Hill and Nico Vouilloz on the podium! It’s like a time travel back to Old Skool DH. Sam Hill took the win over Nico by a mere 9.22 seconds after 100km+ of riding, 7 stages, 5,000m of descending and two epic days of racing.

Overall Series leader Richie Rude had a bit of a funny weekend, seemingly affected by nerves as well as being on terrain that wasn’t his usual sort of thing. He’s still by far the favourite to take the overall title. All he has to do is finish 36th or better in the final race round in Finale-Ligure, Italy next month.

In the women’s racing Cecile Ravanel won although local Isabeau Courdurier pushed her close this time. Ravanel took the whole EWS Series Title with still one round to spare. Impressive.

Closer to home, Bex Baraona and Greg Callaghan turned in some impressive stage results.
