Graham Aggasiz won the Red Bull Rampage qualifying with a score of 89.25. This is the second successive year that Aggasiz has qualified first, but an injury kept him out of the finals last year.

The line is very similar to Andreu Lacondeguy’s winning line from last year including a monster step-down two thirds of the way down and a finish on the Rzr hip. Andreu flipped the hip last year and scored 95.25, the highest ever score in the history of Red Bull Rampage, could Aggy be holding something similar back for the finals?

Antoine Bizet qualified second with a score of 86.00 after flipping the intimidating canyon gap and Tyler MacCaul qualified third. There was good news for British hopes as Sam Reynolds managed to squeeze through as tenth place qualifier with a score of 78.75. Unfortunately Bernard Kerr was unable to qualify in fifteenth.

The finals will be streamed live this evening on Red Bull TV from 17:30. 24 riders will have two runs down the mountain to show what they can do. There’s a stacked field this year filled with former champions and young upstarts, it promises to be a cracker of an evening.
