Setting off with a short piece of canal-side bashing west of Thatcham railway, this month’s Killer cuts south to access Greenham Common. Pick up one of the many common paths westbound, on the perimeter of the haunting mixed woodland before exiting in to lanes through Burghclere, saving the Common for later RUPPs and minor roads leading south to Watership Down via Ecchinswell. After a sting to the summit you progress along the Wayfarers Walk, skirting neolithic remains before the highlight descent of Ladle Hill. Returning north towards Greenham by way of Old Burghclere, drove roads again take you to Burghclere, blasting through the Common before crossing the main A339 to Greenham Common and an eastbound loop before retracing to Thatcham.
