A terrific little pack, ideal for a quick blast or laps of a short race circuit. OK, there is precious little room — we struggled to fit in a tube, pump and mini tool — but you’d only buy it if that capacity suited you, right? With the sternum and hip belt tightened there was no movement at all on the trail. The stiff foam Deuter Airstrip back kept air flowing and your back cool, and the thermal lined interior did the same for your drink. We reckon this pack would be a boon for foreign trips to sunny climes where waterproof jackets and spare warm gear may not be on the packing list.
