Even though the V-One has more sweep and width than the Easton EA70 that it replaced, it didn’t take long for us to get used to it because our hands were automatically placed in a neutral riding position. It was also a familiar one because the profile of the V-One is similar to the trusty old Answer Pro Taper. If it’s a more Moto-X, elbows-out position you crave then you’ll have to roll the V-One forward more than some to reduce the amount of back-sweep.
The shot-peened central section gives the bar strength where it’s needed most while Sunline claims that the polished end sections make for, “better grip adhesion”. Hasn’t it heard of lock-on grips? At 277g for a full 28in wide bar the V-One is competitively light and suitably priced.
