For the money you are going to have to go a long way to compete with Decathlon here. With 13L of cargo capacity in four useful sized zipped compartments, plus a stab at an innovative back system, it’s looking like a winner straight away. Along the same lines as the North Face, the Decathlon attempts to keep the load off your back by presenting a curved main body and gap between that and the mesh back to prevent a sweaty back. But where the Hammerhead has poles to support the body of the pack, the Decathlon only has a plastic stiffener, meaning that when loaded up it can sag onto your back anyway. Not bad though, and pretty amazing considering the price.
