It's a monster

The fastest riders on the planet have all been up on the hill today checking out the Lourdes World Cup track. We’ve pulled these reactions straight off the hill and we can’t tell if they’re excited or terrified!

Steve Peat

Peaty has managed to qualify for one last season in World Cup racing and it looks like he’s planning on bowing out in the same way he’s raced for the past twenty years, with a bucket load of fun.

Lovely view from the start hut in Lourdes?

Gee Atherton

The Atherton crew are looking pretty pensive at this rock garden, it looks like it just drops off a cliff!

The YT Mob

Looks like Gwin is getting stuck in at his first race for the YT Mob, here mentoring his younger team mate, Angel Suarez, on line choice.

Red Bull

We’re glad to see Claudio Caluori made it to the bottom of his course preview following Remi Thirion. The video is due out later today.

‘The Wall’

This rock garden greets riders almost immediately out of the gate and sems to have snatched the attention of riders. For an idea of how steep it is, check out Claudio’s picture at the bottom.

The wall. The picture doesn't do it justice. #uciworldcup2016 #mtb #downhill #lourdes

After a year’s hiatus from racing, Slugger seems keen to be back among the action.
