This tool has a separate steel clip to hold its two halves together. It holds an eight and 10mm wrench, a dust cap extractor, and — a first in a multi-tool — a chainring nut wrench which holds the back of the chainring bolt while you tighten the front with a 5mm Allen key. It’s a useful tool for the trail because chainring bolts do come loose.
There are 17 other tools, including a handy T25 Torx key for disc rotors and three quality ring spanners, but there are some duff additions. The spoke keys included on the ring spanners are laborious to use and don’t fit tight. The flat-bladed screwdriver isn’t sharp, the Phillips is too fat and the odd-shaped knife is just that. What’s wrong with a straight blade?
This is a stellar value trail multi-tool containing some unique tools, but also some redundant ones, hence the score.
