Something for the little shredders out there

ShredXS is a Scottish company started by two young keen mountain bikers who couldn’t get riding gear that they liked or fitted properly. So they made their own.

ShredXS’ mountain bike range is for kids who want the same level of quality and enduro/DH design adults get but scaled down for them.

>>> Can your kids ride like this yet?

The company has been going for a couple of years now but we first spotted their wares at this year’s NEC Cycle Show last week.

The age range covered by ShredXS is 4 years old up to about 14 years old. If you’re the parent of a mountain biking kid then we reckon you’re bound to be interested in this stuff.

>>> 10 dos and don’ts of teaching your kid to ride well

The range isn’t huge currently. It’s principally some tough DH shorts and a suitably ‘moto’ long sleeve jersey. You can get them individually but the combo pack of shorts and jersey looks like the best bang for buck to us.

Anything that gets kids (even more) hyped about riding mountain bikes has got to be a good thing.
