It's rather eye catching

Here’s the special edition Scott Spark that Nino Schurter will be racing in the Olympics next month.

We brought you full tech details of the new Scott Park recently. But this is the first time we’ve seen the actual bike that Nino will be competing on in Rio.

As you can see it’s a very vibrant paintjob that is no doubt inspired by the Mardi Gras life-loving culture of Brazil. Well, that’s what we reckon the crayon-chief at Scott had in mind anyway.

You can see the other special edition Scott Olympic bikes on their #seRIOusgames mini-site.

On Sunday August 21st, Nino will attempt to complete his Olympic medals collection, after winning the Bronze medal in Beijing in 2008, and Silver in London 2012.

Officially jazzy

Nino is certainly sounding very bullish about his chances: “”I’m in great shape right now. Up until now everything has gone according to plan towards Rio. The huge past weekends and the way this season is going has given me great confidence going into the next round.”

In other Nino-news, Schurter also just released the latest chapter of his video series, Hunt For Glory.

In Chapter 13 “Legend in the Making”, some of Schurter’s most famous competitors like Julien Absalon, José Hermida and Manuel Fumic give us their take on Nino.

They also give us their views on what makes XC racing so exciting these days? It’s a good vid and well worth finding the time to watch as it gives you a really revealing look into the world of elite XC that you may not be aware of.
