Speedway or mountain biking? Steve Smith and Brook McDonald going sideways for Anthill Films forthcoming film, Unreal

Anthill films are known for pushing the boundaries of the sport, and for a film that’s already shown us the world’s biggest front flip, unReal seems like it will be no different.

As part of the  project, Anthill set up a shoot costing tens of thousands of dollars and including a brand new track where drifting at speeds of 75kph (46mph) was possible. They then took two of the world’s fastest riders, Stevie Smith and Brook MacDonald to try it out.

The shoot was not without incident though. After a season blighted by two ankle breaks, Stevie Smith looked to have sustained a serious back injury when he high-sided on day one of the shoot. Thankfully he was able to ride through the pain and deliver some killer shots.

unReal is set to be released this summer. To find out more about Unreal and Anthill Films, check out the website: anthillfilms.com/unreal
