Dartmoor local wins killer

Dartmoor killer

Wednesday 16th July 2008

After a monumentally long wait, at last the Dartmoor Killer bottle has been found. Just as we were beginning to lose faith that it would ever be unearthed, with speculation rampant that a walker had mistaken it for trail trash, local lad Matt McCormick emailed in to say he'd found the treasure after several bites at the cherry.

Waterstones had buried the coordinates deep in his first MegavaBLOG, fittingly freeing them on July 4 (the day we gained our independence from the Americans). The fact no one had found them before isn't surprising however, given their cunning hiding place – drowned in a pile of rocks next to a bridge.
So brings Kevin Park's reign of Killer terror to an end (three wins) but we're still a little uneasy he may strike again. Forum posts suggest he may not even have tried to kill this month, instead leaving the discovery to others. Next up, Howgill Fells.
