If we go to Garburn then families can continue to Ambleside to do the tourist thing and drop the bikers off on the way before we all meet up again later...
It'd be about 3hrs to get over garburn and down into ambleside and then if we wanted to add the rydal loop that'd be another 1.5hrs
(For those that have never been, Ambleside has parks, cinemas, galleries, the worlds supply of outdoor shops and loads of good pubs and cafes - loads for the non bikers basically.)
