Anybody know any god websites or other ways to find out about mountain bike racing? Got a couple of road races lined up and i'm keen to do some proper racing on a proper bike too!

No that is a good answer, a novel approach to spamming and totally relevant to the thread.
Depends what racing you're after. Googling specific locations such as Kielder or Dalby brings up some good stuff.
No fuss - http://www.nofussevents.co.uk/ have some stuff on their website.
Roots and rain have some stuff on their wesbite but I believe they trend towards DH - http://www.rootsandrain.com/calendar.html
Finally, as ever, Google is your bestest friend in this!
