Double and Bash basically gets rid of the Big ring and replaces it with a bash guard insted. So basically you get the Granny &Middle ring then A Bash guard, I think!!

A double & bash set-up will normally have a larger middle ring than a triple, & you need to think about cassette too, to give better gear ratios.
Otherwise you're just losing the big ring.
