Hi folks
decided to head to cannock chase thie coming sat(20th) for the first time, Just wanted to know if i need a map to get round,as i recently went to sherwood pines and got lost several times on the red route, or is cannock better signposted?
also is there anything else i need to know??

was there yesterday connieboy, top trails, very well signposted, no map required.
start at the visitor center on birches valley just infront of swinnerton cycles
its a blast, do the dog and aprrox 7 miles and about 14 in total if you add the monkey

Make sure it's worth watching!!

The postcode is WS15 2UQ.
As for the trails being signposted, you shouldn't have any issues. The only sign some people miss is on the Monkey Trail. When you go over the rail crossing followed by the road crossing, there is a sign post that some people miss. Remember that you need to go right and not straight up the fireroad.
Apart from that, you should be fine!

Hi Connieboy, you might find this weather forecast for Cannock Chase useful. It is set to the "ten-day", but you can page to "today", "tomorrow" or "next-day" as well.

I have been to Cannock Chase, and their "Follow The Dog" red trail is harder than Sherwood Pines (which is a good thing). I haven't been on the Monkey Trail, but MBR just voted it "Reader Trail of the Year" - they called it "brilliant". Enjoy the ride!
