im putting this one up early as its its quite a hike for most of us so may take some planning etc.
for anyone who has not done kirroughtree before then let me say its fricken awesome and well worth a long drive, seriously. infact imo you may not ride a better trail.
maybe it could be a weekender for some of the folk who have to travel further, either way im sure we could sort it between now and then.

Camping will be uncomfortable that far north at the end of october. It can get bloody cold on a night.

Trust me its not that cold, there is a youth hostel in minnigaff and a caravan park in newton. For food go to the black horse huge portions and good quality and cheap. There was a b&b just as you turn off the a75 called the stables dont know if its still there or i can get you some numbers for cottages where the vistor centre is. Good site to stay at ifyou are not bothered about traveling is castle bay at portpatrick they hire caravans and do camping open all year, on top of the cliffs with a sea view and short walk into village.Good surfing beaches if any are into that.
I can do, pushing up that heartbreak hill though, not made it up there yet.
