I think your first stop is your local bike shop (lbs) to purchase a decent pump with a gauge on it. Before going check out what type of valve you have on your inner tubes

So that you make sure you get the right type of pump.

If you have Schrader valves you could pop a long to your local petrol station assuming they have an air pump for checking - pumping car - motorbikes tyres.

Sounds like you need more air in there. It should be nearly solid when you press the tread with your thumb.

When I pump it up after about a minute it won't let me pump anymore in the pump becomes stiff (not the right wording after the "have you had it out comment" lol) and starts spitting air out with every pump

Jsedge what valve type do you have?? You really need to know how much air you have in the tyre and it sound like your pump is either faulty or not up to the job

i've got a gauge pump in mind just waiting till i get paid which isn't for 2 weeks

i have got Schrader valves i didn't think to go up the garage an pump them up there

So if you pump them up a the garage and this solves your problem , your laughing I have a Park tool floor pump at home , but the pumps I use for work and the Trails don't have gauges , I seem to know more ore less by feel , I have a fairly large mini pump that is like a floor pump it really pumps up a flat in no time , I got it from CRC about month ago http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=45879 ..

I did used to have a pump with a gauge but it wasn't really used so I never bothered when I replaced it

I pump it till air starts coming out.

Either it's a knackered pump; or valve on inner tube, or you've got a Presta valve & you've not twisted the end around to allow air in. Are you sure it's Schraeder? Does it look like a car tyre valve?

If you're rim is hitting the kerb, you need to sit on the seat not below the back wheel
