I'm with Gore, I have only ever found them to be arrogant and down right rude, this was on three seperate occasions. It's a shame as they do live in a very beautiful country. I also avoid French produce for that reason.

Well I'm sure that's a statistically significant sample.

I've only ever had positive experiences with French people and with France, but maybe that's because I accept differences in cultures and don't expect everyone to conform to the British mentality.

British, sorry but we are also quite diverse, not quite as bad as a different country altogether as we have a shared-ish language, history and some values for the last few centuries.

But that is about it, a republican Irish man, a cornish seperatist, and a Scot whos first language is not english, the Hebradean the Highlander! cannot all claim to have british mentallity, not less conform to it.

Couldn't agree more, but I used the phrase in response to people categorising people by their nationality. In exactly the same way, it is wrong to lump all French people in the same box. Such prejudice is purely a result of ignorance and stupidity.
