    Using GPX files on my Android Phone ?

    Hi can anyone help ,me out here please ? I have downloaded a GPX file for the Bucks off road sportive and I don't know how to use it with my Android phone , haven't got a clue , wanted to use it with google map or something in case I get lost :P
    Any insight would be great thanks in advance

    I'd download the Viewranger app, it's free and 1:50,000 mapping of your area will be about 3.

    Had the advantage of being able to view full os mapping even when offline so you can turn off your data etc and save battery, data allowances etc.

    Cheers ill look into that mate , is there away I can use it with the Sat Nav on my phone to give me Directions ? ta

    You have the os map on screen with your route drawn on and your current location is marked by a crosshair thing via your phones GPS. You don't get turn by turn directions for off road routes but you can add waypoints with alarms at junctions etc so you know when you need to turn.

    if you want road satnav then just use google maps.

    I dont know how to get the gpx file to work with googlemap but the above would suffice thanks again

    Sorry, when I said road satnav on google maps I just meant for normal in-car satnav. No idea about gpx on googlemaps though tbh.
