Shimano AM45's with flat pedals?

We got some Sombrio shoes in today though, with their version of the stealth soles. They look so good I'm gonna have to get some to in with my summer riding kit to complete the look.

I'm currently using a pair of http://www.ukgear.com/Shop/Products/...ushioning.html Which gives me more grip than a grippy thing - and they're cross country running shoes!
However, my Wellgo DMR copies are chewing the sole to hell so am after some flat shoes.

They don't - only when that person starts saying that they can't keep their feet on flat pedals when it gets a little bumpy do they think that.

After about 32 years of using spuds and before them toeclips and about 3 months of using flats I think I will be sticking to spuds for anything gnarly ( I prefer my feet on the pedals when the going gets rough, you have more control over the bike that way).
