    Rock Shox suspension - possible silly question

    I have now bloodied the new Specialized MTB and had a fantastic time at Bedgebury singletrack.

    I have a possibly silly question regarding the front Rock Shox revelation rl fork. The red rebound adjustment knob on the bottom of the fork can be pulled off. This to me doesnt seem right. Is this adjustment knob supposed to stay on the bike during the ride or should it be removed. I am guessing that it should stay but I was surprised that it can be pulled off, I know that it takes a fair pull to get it off but it seems quite vulnerable sticking out the bottom of the for whilst siding.

    It can be pulled off so the bolt head underneath can be accessed for servicing.

    The red cap is supposed to come out it has allen key on the back which alters the rebound, i tend to remove this when i go riding as i have lost quite a few never had a problem, thats on rock shox recon without a problem hope this helps dude happy riding.
    people dont know how close to success they are when they quit.

    LOLsss If I hit my rear mech with a sledge hammer hard enough, will that break off too!?

    Sorry SJS, The red knob does come out, but I always keep it in to prevent mud etc getting in.. had no problems ever... If I lose it soon you owe me anew one though! Jinxed!
