After several years I've finally got around to fixing my old Fox Vanilla 32s (circa 2002), which means that my Orange Air O is once more in a rideable state. Took it out for a spin this morning - it still rides as good as ever, although I've got some relearning to do. It's been a long time since I rode a hardtail, but it's starting to come back to me. The frame's too short to ride it any distance but it makes a fantastic bike for hooning around town on. I've spent many years hammering this bike and it feels good to be back on it. Just goes to show how long components last if you buy decent quality :
1998 Hope Bulbs (haven't had a single bearing change and are smooth as silk)
1999 Orange Air O frame
2002 Hope headset
2000 Hope 4 pots (still work faultlessly)
1998 Mavic D321s (never been trued despite my massive bulk not being kind to them)
The nonsense big 2.7" Maxxis High Roller on the front needs to go though, the front wheel weighs a tonne!
